RIPPLES OF BUNCEFIELD BY OPERA

 On Thursday 10^th September Timothy Bibbs attended the OPERA presentation “The Ripples of Buncefield and its impact on Major Hazard Management in the UK” by Ken Rivers, a former Shell Executive. It was interesting to learn how industry and the safety inspectorate in the UK have begun to operate in partnership since the Buncefield disaster 10 years ago. What a difference from our area where the inspectorate dictates what industry should do and industry tries to do as little as possible. Hopefully, they will one day work together like two adults.
