OPERA – PLANT DISMANTLING FOR RE-ERECTION

On 14^th July 2020, Richard Vann of RVA Group made an interesting presentation at OPERA entitled “Plant Dismantling for Re-erection”. The message was that relocation is only worthwhile in very few specific cases. This reflects our experience. While there was a lot of interest in buying second had plants in the former Soviet Union in the 1990s, very few projects came to fruition Major exceptions are of course the Prirazlomnaya Platform in Russia and the polymer plants in Azerbaijan.
