MIRACON21 – RISK MATRIX APPROACH

Tim Bibbs was delighted to contribute to the MIRACON21 conference – “Uncertain Times” from 19^th to 21^st October 2021 which was held remotely and allowed access to people from Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. Quite a feat!

As a member of MIRA’s Technical Advisory Group, Tim was part of the team that presented the results of the research they carried out over the course of the last year. The presentation was entitled “Risk Matrix Approach for Risk Improvement”. The presentation, which was based on the input of risk engineers throughout the mining world, focused on the justification for risk reduction recommendations made during risk engineering survey using a risk matrix. We consider it an important tool in making risk reduction measures.
