CREEPING CHANGES

Zsuzsanna Gyenes of the Institution of Chemical Engineering Safety Centre made an engrossing presentation about the risk of creeping changes to OPERA on 8^th June 2021.

We generally recognise that large changes increase, or change, the risks we face, and those risks need to be assessed and mitigated as necessary. Over the years, lots of small changes, which get less attention, can be made, increasing the risk by more than their accumulation would suggest. The losses can occur.

Hence it is important that we properly manage all changes, irrespective of their magnitude.
